Mentorship Program

Program Overview
PRSA-IE is committed to ongoing learning and professional development. A strong mentoring relationship can help shape a career, build confidence, and expand networks, while providing meaningful support at every stage of the professional journey.
The PRSA-IE Mentoring Program connects members through a structured mentor-mentee experience that encourages growth, knowledge-sharing, and genuine connection.
Mentees gain access to experienced public relations and communications professionals who can offer guidance, perspective, and encouragement. Mentors benefit by strengthening leadership skills, sharing expertise, and giving back to the profession while also gaining fresh perspectives.
This program is open to students, emerging professionals, and career changers seeking support, direction, and meaningful connection within the industry.
How It Works
Timing
- Applications are open now through May 1, 2026.
- The official program runs from May 15 through December 21.
- Mentor-mentee pairs will meet four times during the program year.
- Meetings may take place in person, by phone, or by video chat and should last 30–60 minutes.
- Participants may connect in person at PRSA-IE events, including the Polaris Awards.
Matching Process
Participants will be matched based on:
- Location
- Industry
- Experience level
- Desired outcomes
- Areas of interest and expertise
While the PRSA-IE Mentoring Program organizer will check in periodically, participants are ultimately responsible for building a successful and meaningful mentoring relationship.
Participants will provide feedback during and after the program to help PRSA-IE continue delivering exceptional, relevant programming.
Stipends ($50) are available to support in-person meet-ups. Contact our PRSA-IE Director at Large of Mentoring at [email protected] for more details.
